Prior to joining MOJO Organics, Inc, Mr. Simpson was COO and CFO of Even Technologies, Inc., a publicly traded company with patented technology for the delivery of video to the TV, laptop, and cell phone. His primary responsibilities included setting corporate strategy, product development, manufacturing, contract negotiations, financial reporting, and sales and business development. Mr. Simpson was also Vice President and CFO of COCA-COLA BOTTLERS, Uzbekistan, a subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company, where his primary responsibilities included setting corporate strategy, and overall operations for the company. Major accomplishments included increasing annual revenue from $5 million to $160 million and gross margins from 31% to 54% during his first two years. Mr. Simpson also constructed four bottling facilities including a mega plant designed for soft drinks, water and juice products, which increased bottling capacity from 5 million to 100 million unit cases. He was awarded "Bottler of the Year" by The Coca-Cola Company over two consecutive years based on product quality and sales growth. Early in his career, Mr. Simpson was CFO to the U.S. District Court Appointed Trustee for Teamsters Local 560 and its pension and medical funds, which was the first labor union to be placed under a Federal Government Trusteeship under the Federal RICO statue. The Teamsters Local 560 was considered to be the most corrupt labor union in the United States. Mr. Simpson also served as Manager of the Finance Division for the New Jersey Casino Control Commission which included responsibility over the approval of complex casino licensee financing transaction, industry forecasting and regulatory issues related to casino games profitability. Mr. Simpson is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA from Columbia University School of Business.
Chief Operating Officer
Peter Spinner joined the Board of Directors of the Company in March 2014. He is the founder and managing director of Wyatts Torch Equity Partners LP (“Wyatts”), a family business focused on public and private investments in the food and beverage industry. As General Partner and Portfolio Manager of Wyatts, Mr. Spinner is responsible for investing the assets of the Partnership. Prior to forming Wyatts, Mr. Spinner was with Ardent Asset Management. Prior thereto he was a portfolio manager and an equity analyst at Trellus Capital Management focusing on technology, media and telecommunications. During his tenure at Trellus Capital Management, assets under management expanded from $100 million to $2 billion. Previously, Mr. Spinner was an analyst and Portfolio Manager at Irvine Capital and Forstmann, Leff Associates. Mr. Spinner began his career at Salomon Brothers Inc. in the equity trading division. Mr. Spinner received his undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College and his MBA from Fordham University.
